Wines of Montefalco

In the area of Montefalco, which includes the towns of Montefalco, Bevagna, Gualdo Cattaneo, Castel Ritaldi and Giano dell'Umbria, many wines are produced: the Montefalco Rosso DOC, the Montefalco Rosso Riserva DOC, DOCG Montefalco Sagrantino Passito (or Sagrantino di Montefalco DOCG Passito ) and the Montefalco Sagrantino Secco DOCG (or Sagrantino di Montefalco Secco DOCG).

Also for this reason, the yields per weight (ie the amount of wine you get with a ton of grapes) is very low, and the specification of Sagrantino states that may not exceed 45% and may reach 65% in the dry version ...
